Dual Roman Shades
For Northern California homes, there’s nothing better than having a wide range of light control at the windows. Duolite® dual shades are available with Vignette®, but can also be an option in other roman shade styles. The dual shade system allows you to enjoy a completely bare window, a light filtering shade lowered in place, or a secondary blackout shade added in for days of intense sunlight–and nights when you need better sleep.
Rolling vs. Stacking Style
Unlike traditional romans–limited to folds of fabric that gather as they rise–Vignette shades are unique. They can be customized with the same gathering of fabric, known as stacking. Or, you can design them to roll up and out of sight. Rolling romans are considered flat-front shades that roll up into the headrail as they rise, for contemporary appeal. With Hunter Douglas Vignette®, you choose your preference, whether stacking or rolling. When opened, you can see folds of fabrics resting at the top of the window, or view the simplicity of the headrail, with rolling shades tucked away inside.

What is the difference between rolling and stacking operation for Vignette®?
When traditional roman shades stack, the fabrics gather as they rise, leaving a neat stack of folded fabrics at the top of the window. Hunter Douglas Vignette® can be designed with that same operation. But, they can also be customized to roll instead. The fabric is detailed with boning, offering a modern presentation of clean lines. The fabrics roll up into the headrail, disappearing from sight.
Can Vignette® Shades be motorized?
Yes, they can be customized with PowerView® automation, allowing them to be controlled with a remote, an app, or with the smart home system and devices within the home.
Is the Vignette® collection available with room darkening?
Yes, there are both room darkening and light filtering fabrics available. You can also customize the room darkening experience of Vignette® Shades with Duolite® Dual Shades, which offers a light filtering shade and a secondary blackout roller shade that can lower into position when you want to block the light.
