Say goodbye to purchasing new batteries for your shades, and say hello to simply recharging them.
Let’s Take A Closer Look
Measuring at only 13 x 1.25 x 1 inches, our new sleek and slim rechargeable battery wand is easy to hide. And to change it, all you have to do is simply remove it from where it’s mounted, and plug it into the charger. You’ll choose between satellite or mounted alongside the window. With the satellite option, you can connect a cord to the shade and mount the wand.
One mounting option, as shown above, simply attaches the batteries behind the headrail. If satellite is your choice, the cord follows the window frame to the designated spot, like the example below.
How to Charge
Now let’s take a look at the options you have for charging stations: single and double. With the single station, you can charge your wand in about 2 hours. And with the double, you can charge two wands in about 3 hours.
Each charge will give you typically a year of use, or approximately 500 adjustments. And if you have multiple smart shades in your home, we recommend the double charging station to help maximize the capabilities of these wands.
New Wand, New Features
One of our favorite things about the new rechargeable battery wand is its ability to connect with your PowerView app. Wondering when your next charge needs to be? Well, when your battery level is low, you’ll get a notification through your PowerView app or via e-mail. And with the shutoff feature, you don’t need to worry about overheating issues. The sun can be ruthless at times. With all the direct sunlight shades are exposed to, your windows can become too hot. With the shutoff feature, if your wand reaches an unsafe temperature, it will automatically shut off.
